Backup through Google Photos
Your Samsung phone with the latest Android version should have Google Photos app. There is an option of backing up your pictures in the Google Photos. You can follow the below-listed steps to retrieve your photos using Google Photos:
- Step 1: Open Google Photos on your phone. The icon is white in color with a pinwheel. You can download the images only if you have backed up your photos just before they got deleted in Google Photos.
- Step 2: Now, here, you will find all the images which got deleted. Tap the image you want to restore.
- Step 3: After opening the photo, you will see a three doted option at the top right corner of the screen. Tap on it.
- Step 4: Select the fourth option, save to device. Tap this option, and the picture will get saved in your Samsung photo gallery.
An important point to note here is that if you delete your photo, it will only be available for sixty days to restore. The images get deleted permanently after 60 days. Also, you need to have a Gmail account to back up your photos in Google Photos.
Restoring Through a Third Party Application
Most people don’t back up their photos, and there is a significant chance you missed it too. You can use a third-party app, in that case, using the following steps:
- Step 1: In the Google Play Store, go to free Android photo recovery app FindMyPhoto, and install it.
- Step 2: Tap on the “Tap to Recovery” option present in the middle of the screen. The scanning process starts.
- Step 3: After scanning ends, the screen will display photos, including the ones that got accidentally deleted. Select the photos you wish to recover.
- Step 4: After selecting, click on the recover bottom and the photos will get saved in your gallery.
