When it comes to finding a reputation management pricing company, it is important to think of what exactly do you need the company for. Bell is a popular phone company and television provider company. Recently in the news, it is said that 1.9 million Bell customer email addresses have been stolen from an anonymous hacker, probably the same hacker from the WannaCry and Ransomware cyberattacks. It is unclear when the breach occurred or how the data was accessed or even how long the attacker had access to Bell’s systems. Bell is already the worst phone company you can deal with and now 1.9 million email addresses and approximately 1,700 names and phone numbers were stolen from a company database. The information appears to have been posted online but the company is unable to confirm the leaked data was one and the same. Bell is currently working with the RCMP to investigate this breach and the incident to an anonymous hacker.

Since Bell is the country’s largest telecommunications company, it is important for them to keep their customers updated about this event that occurred to them and quickly find a resolution to this. There is no indication that any financial, password or other sensitive information was accessed. Bell claims that the incident was unrelated to the massive spike in Ransomware infections but I think that this event is from a WannaCry Ransomware cyberattacker. Back in 2014, the RCMP charged a Quebec youth after a Bell contractor was breached and 22,421 user names and passwords and five valid credit card numbers were posted online.

It is said that the attacker has warn Bell that more will leak due to the fact that they have failed to cooperate with them. This event clearly shows us how Bell doesn’t care for its customers safety and they could have avoided this public announcement.
